Cookie Policy

At EZTools, we believe in a transparent and unintrusive browsing experience. Because our application is entirely client-side, our use of cookies and local storage is extremely limited.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Local Storage is a similar technology that allows web applications to store data directly in your browser. Both are used to remember your preferences and improve your experience.

2. How We Use Local Storage

The majority of your preferences on EZTools are saved using your browser's Local Storage rather than traditional cookies. We use this strictly to:

  • Remember your theme preference (Light or Dark mode).
  • Save the state of certain tools locally so you don't lose your work if you accidentally refresh the page.
  • Remember your pinned or recently used tools.

* Note: This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

3. Analytics

We use privacy-first analytics services (such as Vercel Web Analytics or Plausible) to count page views and understand which tools are the most popular. These services are specifically designed to protect your privacy: they do not use tracking cookies, they do not track your behavior across other websites, and they do not collect any personally identifiable information.

4. Third-Party Cookies

EZTools does not sell advertising space and we do not use invasive third-party tracking cookies (such as those used by advertising networks to profile users).

5. Managing Your Preferences

You can control and/or delete cookies and Local Storage data as you wish using your browser settings. You can clear your browser history or use your browser's "incognito" or "private browsing" mode. Please note that clearing Local Storage will reset your Light/Dark mode preference and any locally saved tool data.
